Description
Evidence
1.
Each year UNIMAS offer a number of opportunities to further studies in a Bachelor's Degree to candidates who had failed to get any offer at Public Institution of Higher Learning but eligible with a minimum academic requirement and are among the families that are below the household income of RM3000 or the lowest household income group. UNIMAS is really committed with this effort as part of the university’s responsibility to open up opportunities for the underprivileged students in the hope that after graduation they will be the backbone that will change the pattern of their existing household income.
Ironically, the family of candidates being offered to further their study usually came with a negative feedback and most of the candidates will not show up during registration due to financial problems (unable to pay fees). In order to achieve the initial objective, the assistance offered to the students under the B40 program must also be followed with funding them for registration fees, recurring and non-recurring fees for Semester 1 in Year 1, while waiting for the students to apply for financial assistance from other parties such as PTPTN.

Refer No.2 Point : IPTA Foundation Financial Assistance

This financial aid funding is for students in the target group B40 and M40 who follow a basic level program with a family income of less than RM10,000 per month. Students who have registered to follow the course using the eligibility requirements of passing SPM or its equivalent are eligible to apply. Students are required to sign an agreement with a guarantor. No refunds will be charged but students will have to repay the aid money that has been given if they fail to follow the study program successfully. Applicants must be Malaysian citizens. The aim of this assistance is as a platform to help students from low and medium income families continue their studies up to the tertiary level.
