On 25 November 2024, IBEC Hub warmly welcomed a study visit delegation of 39 A-Level students from Singapore, accompanied by seven staff members. The visit aimed to enrich the students’ understanding of biodiversity, environmental conservation, and scientific research conducted in Sarawak. During the visit, participants learned about IBEC Hub’s role as a centre of excellence in biodiversity conservation and its innovative approaches to addressing environmental challenges. The program also highlighted the importance of collaboration between science, society, and industry in protecting natural ecosystems, especially in tropical regions like Sarawak. The visit was hoped to inspire students to pursue environmental science and take an active role in biodiversity preservation in the future.
