The UNIMAS GHG Inventory Dashboard (UGID) is a data visualization tool highlighting greenhouse gas emissions generated by the UNIMAS Campus Community UGID was created by ISURE to gain insights and to engage the UNIMAS Community in taking-action on climate change and improving UNIMAS’ Carbon Footprint The GHG Dashboard allows for beyond borders interactive data exploration and spatial data views. - SCOPE 1

UNIMAS addresses its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions through a comprehensive Low Carbon Campus Roadmap, leveraging a 2018 baseline inventory categorized across the three scopes defined by the GHG Protocol to set strategic targets. The waste management component, crucial for reducing GHG emissions, centers on creating a designated integrated waste facility, promoting the full 9R strategies (refuse through recover) via educational programs, and enforcing a zero single-use plastics policy. Significantly, this accountability is extended to the supply chain by planning to measure waste, energy, and water usage in campus cafés, alongside evaluating the carbon footprint resulting from supplier and caterer movements. To directly address the query of measuring low-carbon energy, UNIMAS actively tracks this consumption as part of its broader effort to achieve energy efficiency, utilize renewable sources, and meet its overall goal of reducing its GHG emissions by 45% by 2026, utilizing systems like the Sustainable Energy Management System (SEMS) to ensure continuous monitoring and optimization across the university.
