UNIMAS offers courses in the form of massive open online course (MOOC) in supporting the flexible education initiative. These courses are available for free to the public.

Malaysian Prime Minister recently launched the MySDG Foundation. Its aim is to bridge the financing gap and facilitate collaborative initiatives among various stakeholders to translate the SDG aspirations into practical actions through multi-stakeholder cooperation. He also emphasized the importance of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) as a key enabler in achieving the SDGs. In  Amanat Naib Canselor 2022, The Vice Chancellor said, UNIMAS must seize this opportunity to harness all the strengths and optimize the existing expertise at UNIMAS to achieve a balance between the social and economic environment, especially in Sarawak and Malaysia as a whole.
