1. 2. | UNIMAS’ commitment to being a community-driven university for a sustainable future was highlighted during the working visit of Vice Chancellor YBhg Prof Dr Ahmad Hata Rasit on 8 February 2024, which began with a stop at the Apong Processing Centre operated collaboratively by the Faculty of Engineering and the local community in Kampung Tambirat, Kota Samarahan. The initiative, led by Dr Ana Sakura Zainal Abidin together with Tuan Haji Rasli Muslimen, Assoc Prof Dr Norazzlina M’Sadon—Dean of the Faculty of Engineering—and other faculty members, showcases UNIMAS’ active role in supporting local industries through research, innovation, and community engagement. Also present during the visit were Dr Abang Ekhsan Abang Othman, General Manager of UNIMAS Holdings Sdn Bhd, along with village residents involved in the project, reflecting a strong and collaborative partnership aimed at uplifting the socio-economic development of the community.
