1. | UNIMAS became the first public universityin Sarawak to set up a nursery for the care of the children of the university's member. The establishment of this nursery makes UNIMAS a pioneer in the creation ofchildcare centres in the workplace. | |||||||||||||
2. | On January 4, 2023, YBDS Fatimah and her team visited Taska SeDidik UNIMAS, awarded for Quality Childcare 2022. This workplace childcare facility is crucial for working parents, providing safe, quality care. Sarawak has 16 such centers, with 9 managed by SeDidik. The state allocated RM15 million for grants to 3,000 registered early childcare centers and RM2.5 million for a fee subsidy initiative for B40 families. The “Save For Golden Future” project was also launched at UNIMAS childcare. |
