A seminar on water optimization in buildings was held, where participants explored innovative strategies and solutions for efficient water management in modern structures. Attendees gained expert insights and participated in discussions on optimizing water usage for sustainability and cost savings. The session was presented by Mr. Razali Abu Bakar, Vice President of the Malaysian Association of Registered Electrical Energy Managers (MAREEM), and moderated by Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Mohd Danial Ibrahim, Head of the Research Cluster on IoT Remote Monitoring and Energy Efficient Systems Optimization at UNIMAS Water Centre. It took place on June 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM via Webex.

UNIMAS Water Centre hosted two educational seminars on 25 October 2024, offering the campus community and public participants an opportunity to learn from industry experts about sustainable water management. The first session, held online via Webex, focused on potable water treatment and was delivered by Datuk Ir. Ts. Br. Dr. Amarjit Singh of Perunding WENCO Sdn. Bhd., while the second session, conducted at BP2, CTF3, featured Ir. Tan Chan Boon from the Sarawak Department of Irrigation and Drainage, who shared insights on Sarawak’s urban stormwater management system. These seminars aimed to strengthen understanding of water sustainability, infrastructure, and modern water-management practices.
