Sustainably Youth: Shaping Youths Toward a Low-Carbon Living Lifestyle- The “Low Carbon Living Lifestyle” programme, organised by ISuRE and the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development, UNIMAS, brought together students from five secondary schools to learn about sustainable living through interactive talks and hands-on STEM activities. Over three days, participants explored topics such as carbon footprints, energy conservation, low-carbon diets, renewable energy, and CO₂ monitoring, gaining practical skills to reduce their environmental impact. The event concluded with an inspiring call for youths to take the lead in shaping a greener future, reminding them that every small action can contribute to meaningful, long-term change.

UNIMAS, in partnership with H2 Energy, is launching a green hydrogen project in Kampung Assum, Sarawak, aiming to deliver 30 kW of renewable energy to the remote village. The clean energy will power local facilities such as composting machines and basic community systems, while an integrated waste management and water treatment system is being developed. The initiative not only provides sustainable infrastructure but also supports green tourism and circular economy activities, contributing to UNIMAS’ goal of increasing clean energy access in rural regions and reducing reliance on fossil fuels
