1. | In the UNIMAS context, an employment practice appeal process ensures that staff have a clear and fair avenue to challenge decisions related to their employment rights, performance assessment, disciplinary actions, or pay matters. Through established university procedures—typically overseen by the Human Resource Division—employees may submit formal appeals, which are then reviewed by designated committees or panels to ensure transparency, impartiality, and alignment with university regulations and the Statutory Bodies (Discipline and Surcharge) Act. This structured process reinforces UNIMAS’s commitment to employee welfare, ethical governance, and fair treatment in accordance with its ESG and institutional integrity principles. | |||||||||||||
2. | UNIMAS is a statutory body that follows the salary scheme set by the Malaysian government. The Appointing Authority (PBM) determines the starting salary for officers appointed for the first time based on two (2) criteria which are the starting salary set in the service scheme and relevant experience.
